Terra victims have one month to file claims on lost crypto, court

Victims of the Terra/LUNA collapse who want to vote in bankruptcy proceedings have until August 21 to file a claim for any lost crypto or forfeit any say in the debtor’s plan, according to a Delaware bankruptcy court.  The notice, ordered on July 19, says claim ants must submit a preliminary crypto loss form to the debtor claims and noticing agent, Epiq, as part of Terra ’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. New emails reveal Bankman-Fried family's role in FTX finances, report

The mother, father, and younger brother of disgraced former FTX chief Sam Bankman-Fried reportedly helped advise on and manage the firm’s finances, according to emails seen by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ). The previously undisclosed emails show Bankman-Fried’s father, Alan Joseph Bankman, introducing then-FTX exec Ryan Salame to the firm’s Fenwick & West tax lawyers in September 2022. He suggested they discuss the tens of millions of dollars Salame had previously withdrawn from Alameda Research. His younger brother, Gabriel j US RBKMqE1lkQeg, was also reveal ed to have created a ‘who’s-who’ of Democrat politicians and helped direct contributions from either Sam’s personal fortune or FTX . Bitcoin developers filed legal issue against self-proclaimed BTC creator Craig Wright

Bitcoin developers responded to a lawsuit initiated by self -proclaimed Bitcoin creator Craig Wright, often mocked with the nickname “faketoshi.” On Aug. 21, Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund (BLDF) filed a preliminary issue application with the UK High Court against Wright’s firm Tulip Trading. The firm in question sued 12 Bitcoin developers in an attempt to force them to introduce a backdoor in the Bitcoin software to give it access to 111,000 BTC — or nearly $2,9 billion — that it claims to have lost in a hack. BDLF is a non-profit foundation reportedly supporting Bitcoin developers and protecting the Bitcoin (BTC) ecosystem by providing legal defense counsel, crafting litigation strategies, and paying legal bills. The organization’s first action was coordinating the defense of a dozen Bitcoin developers sued by Wright’s Tulip Trading Ltd.
